...a large orange station wagon to one side of the dunk tank.

Kande stares at the car, her eyes bugging out. "Is that..?!"

KS grins wickedly. "Yes, yes it is. It's the Mayor's Big Orange Tour Mobile. Her mechanic told me it's beyond fixing. So I'm going to let people," she gestures behind her at the ever-growing mob in the Klub, "lob hand grenades at it, for $25 a pop."

Kande clutches her chest. "The Mayor's going to kill you!"

"I'm going to kill who?" The Mayor walks up behind them. Her silk suit is stained and tattered, and she has a big run in the back of her stockings. "I could kill Scully for taking that short-cut on the mountain. And I thought we were heading for the coast!"

"HA!" KS laughs loudly enough that CW hears her and scowls. "I knew that sign was real."

"And I AM taxing you for that website," the Mayor informs Kande, ignoring KS's glee at being right. "And I don't know what you're doing here, you were supposed to be abducted," she adds crossly then her eyes widen when she sees the car. Kande gives a mental sigh of relief when the Mayor sees her orange bomb of a car. Now KS is really going to catch crap.

"My car!" the Mayor wails. She starts to run towards it but stops when one of the Young Librarian's demonstrates a grenade lob to the milling crowd eager to start the fundraiser. "Who's idea was this? I need that car for a trade-in!"

Kande and CW each take a large step backwards, leaving KS to stand in front of the Mayor alone. KS doesn't appear fazed. "Don't worry, Mayor. I'm going to let you have JD's old truck for a trade-in."

"Oh. Well, in that case." The Mayor shrugs, and then blows the whistle for the fundraiser to begin. The crowd rushes forward to purchase baseballs and hand grenades. The little witch in the dunk tank sets up a caterwauling. KS motions for one of the Young Librarians to gag her.

"Man, you really lucked out," Kande hisses to her sister.

KS shrugs and then remembers something. "Oh, by the way, I tried the dunk tank out on A first."

Kande gasps. "Is that why he hasn't been at work for three days? Because you killed him?"

KS blows out air in exasperation. "No, you ninny. I'd only kill him if there was money in it for me. No, I let him go, but next time you see him, he'll probably claim he was hit by a car. One of the Young Librarian's accidently broke his glasses trying to shove him into the dunk tank before he was properly tied up."

CW cuts between the two sisters. "I hate to break up this little love fest, but wasn't the original idea of this whole story to rescue Rabid from her abduction?"

The two sisters look at her blankly. "Rabid was abducted?"
