"Too bad you're no Horton the Elephant," KS lectures Kande, shaking her head.

"Ha, ha, you're soooo funny," Kande sniffs. She turns to Stardoe expectantly. "Any clues to the person who took my watch?"

Stardoe starts sweating and gives KS a significant glance. KS pales and once again starts edging for the door. Det and Rabid once again block the door.

"Um, Kande, I don't suppose you've looked under that big bandage on your knee?" Stardoe asks her hopefully.

"Ugh, gross, there's shunts in there!" Kande shudders. "In fact, it's time for it to be changed. Mayor?" she looks at KM and bats her eyelashes.

"No way, all those leg critters were enough to turn me off your legs," KM turns green.

"Oh cripes, ya big babies, I'll do it," CW works her knitting needle under the bandage and tear it off. Kande averts her eyes. "Ooohh, what a terrible sewing job! There's a big fold of skin here...oops." CW stops sawing away at the bandage and looks aghast at Kande's knee.

"Let me see that!" Kande pulls the bandage off and stares openmouthed at the watch-shaped lump under her skin. She wheels to accuse KS, but only sees the klub doors swinging as if in a slight breeze. Then she turns on Stardoe.

"Heh, heh, just a little operating room humor," Stardoe tells her and then turns and runs off.
