Wow excellent topic,i would have to say the Beatles were my intro into rock n roll. I wasn't aware of the stones until we lived in South Africa from May 64 - May 65. A british kid 16 used to baby sit us and he turned me on to the stones i vividly recall 12 by 5,lil red rooster,tell me ,time is on my side ,its all over now. He also had a killer collection of british invasion singles ,kinks,animals,pacemakers. My older sister 2 years older than myself turned me on to a lot of great music,who,zep,Dylan,Jimi,Janis ,the doors,cream,airplane,spirit,Bowie ,Steve Miller and on and on.As a teen and young adult never appreciated Elvis or old country,as i grew older and wiser lol i lerned to love there music. Parents had a lot of big band era music playing the house also enjoyed that.Every now and then you can never go wrong by putting on some "ol blue 'eyes" Like some have stated earlier never a fan of disco or a lot of crap that came out in the 80's.oh yeah i do like some of early sabath and Alice Cooper.i'm also a big fan of solo Lennon and George.Never cared for solo Macaa post 1975.I despise rap and hip hop and new 'crap" thats released today.Love Brian and Mick T era stones,hit and miss with me on later stuff re stones.The stones have always been my favorite band since 1964 and will continue to do so.Sorry if i was a bit long winded,oh yeah can't forget about 60's motown,great topic.
