He punched in his access code to his office, pushed open the door and flipped on the light before turning to face Tommy again to respond - just standing in the doorway, not stepping fully into the office. His brows gently furrowed, he shoved his hands into the pockets of his slacks as he quietly regarded the other man for a long moment, and then shook his head a bit. "Don't just assume you know everything, Tommy. All you know is that I went away for a year, we broke up, and Keila was pretty upset - beyond that, you know nothing about what happened between us and, frankly, it's really none of your business - just like what happens between us in the future is none of your business." He shrugged slightly, though his tone was a little bit more kind - even though he wasn't okay standing here having the righteous Tommy tell him how sad his girlfriend had been when he left, he didn't like making enemies and he did actually feel a little bit bad for the other man. "But because you're being honest with me, I'll be honest with you. I don't have any plans in the future to go away again. I still care about Keila, I missed her more than I could ever have anticipated, and it sounds like the feelings are mutual. Really, Tommy, maybe it's time for you to start looking elsewhere, give it a rest. We all have to work together, we see each other on a daily basis. Don't make things more uncomfortable than they need to be."
