He was okay with quiet because it suited him alright, and she was just soft and sweet at his side for the rest of the drive, and then the walk to her office - always touching him, always close. That was okay with him. He was smiling quietly as he sat in a chair opposite her, enjoying his meal - it felt like it had been a long time coming. The night before when they had missed their dinner felt like a very long time ago, and then with their heavy conversation in the car just a few minutes earlier, he definitely felt like he had earned the right to enjoy his Thai. When she spoke up, his brows raised a bit and he finished off his mouthful slowly as he contemplated that - easily getting her acceptance and instantly relieved and grateful. Sure there were still a lot of things to work out, but it seemed that they were on the right path to come to an understanding. "Well if we go during winter break so only have a couple weeks, I would love to take you to Florence, if you want... We could just do Florence. It would be nice..." He still maintained that it was one of his favorite places from his past year of traveling and with only a couple of weeks, he would happiest to just see one spot - enjoy it, immerse themselves in it, rather than rushing through things. They were young, they made decent money, had few expenses - he figured that they had years ahead of them to see whatever they desired. He knew she was a bit of a homebody, but he wanted to share some of this with her and he felt like if she got out and saw some places, she would be as blown away as he was.
