Subject: Attendance - Niagara game

I hope we have a decent crowd. If we win Friday & Sunday that certainly helps.

Does C Block even exist? Where are the students? Maybe it’s just a sign of the times. If the students aren’t attending now will they become supportive after they graduate? It remains a mystery for many of us.

It helps to have a good product on the floor to keep the local media & alums interested.

Go Griffs!

I was part of C- Block during my time at Canisius (Parrota years). We had great upperclassmen who took some underclassmen under their wing to show them the ropes and get excited about going to sporting events. After graduating, there were a bunch of us who decided to get season tickets.

I don't think that has happened in a long time. Even when the Griffs were winning under Baron, it's not like student attendance was through the roof. How many of those students are now season ticket holders? Probably not a lot.

I remember when this game drew 10 thousand fans in Memorial Auditorium, and yes the students were there. College basketball in Buffalo at one time was really big. Yes, the game has changed, and the big boys have taken over. Canisius and Niagara are now mid majors, and interest in the teams has taken a dive. The local media is all Bills and Sabers. Collee basketball is never mentioned. How about a radio show where fans can talk and discuss the teams. Go Griffs and beat Marist. It's not going to be easy. PS Is this kid at Bishop Timon a D1 player?

Apparently Fairfield and Albany think he is. RW not so much...

Yes, Jaiden Harrison is a D1 prospect and it's a joke that Fairfield and Albany have offered while RW waits for the next lead from the Netherlands or California. An absolute joke. Fire this bum and anyone supporting him.

He recently made the comment that recruiting is more difficult these days.
