Jasman Sangha was ejected after trying to stop UA’s Henri Veesaar from dunking with one hand.

Sangha appeared to pull Veesaar’s non-shooting arm, and Veesaar glared at him afterward. After a review, officials ruled it a Flagrant 2 on Sangha, who was forced to lead the floor, but also handed Veesaar a Class A Technical for the glare, meaning Veesaar would only get to take two free throws instead of four.

I hate to have one less big man on the floor.

Go Griffs!

Horrible call. Even the U of A announcers thought it was a bad interpretation of the rule.

Our guys were overwhelmed at the start by Arizona’s size, length and intensity o both ends of the floor. We settled down and found ways to score after that, but could not stop their stellar guards or compete on the glass.

McMillan is an excellent guard who can be a star in the MAAC. Godfrey can find his shots outside and hit them, while Palese and Kona can play at a high level. Bernard and Van der plays were outmatched along with most others except for Senegal who played hard. sad to see Thompson play without any energy or passion.

All n all, a mixed bag. Maybe kids like Ogbene and Scott will emerge with time. Would be nice to beat Bona again.
