Subject: Apples and Oranges

Has anyone looked at the MBB schedules of CU and UofM ? Rosters and 5 and 4 star talent aside. Starting on 11/4 to ll/19 the Grifs played Away, Home, Away, Away, Away, Away, Away from Arizona to Maryland and in between. One at home seven on the road. There were 3 road games on November 16, 17 and 19 (Maryland) with travel (Air or Bus?) on the 18th in between. Maybe the Griff players were exhausted by the time they played a BIG 10 team? The Terps, during the same period of time played 5 nicely spaced Home games against 4 inferior teams plus Marquette. There were two of the Griffs Away games that were $$ games for CU. Coast to Coast yet! We have a group of players and coaching staff that is new as the driven snow in trying to figure each other out (including two Redshirts and two Walk Ons). We have a President (who has a Masters Degree in Athletics as well as a terminal degree in Law, and a realzation that strorg sports programs = enjoyable college experiences that = STUDENTS. And who also want's to grow CU). So let's all give give THE POWERS THAT BE a chance to paint the big picture.

Of course Maryland has a more advantageous schedule. Every Power 5 school does. It doesn't mean you lose by 71! Exhausted? They are 20 years old! These kids are used to this. AAU teams play 3 or 4 games a day sometimes. Enough with you and this President. My God. He's made them a university (positive), created labor strife and overseen athletic programs that are worse. What else? And when does he plan to do all of these wonderful things you keep promising?

Sir or Madam, whoever you are. Do you really keep up with EVERYTHING going on at Canisius University? Do you even live in Buffalo? Are you even an Alumnus/Alumna?

Suburbs and 99. Dude. How about you All Knowing? And since this is a basketball board don't tell me how he has turned up the pressure on the drinking fountains but what he has or is doing for basketball. Can't wait.

The entitlement in this message from BfloGriff is hilarious. Hate to break it to you, but you’re not the only alumni at Canisius and other people can have opinions. Even if he didn’t live in Buffalo, who cares? At least he’s not grasping for straws and blindly supporting a new President who hasn’t done a single thing for athletics and keeps an AD around who has had zero success with the basketball team during his long and tiring 20 plus years of tenure.

What's a "suburbs and 99 Dude". BG lives in the middle of the City of Buffalo not too far from CU. The "dude" also carries some mileage on him. By the way, the "Apples and Oranges" posting is a MBB posting. Our President was one of the people involved in hireing Jim. Did you miss the part about the Masters Degree in Athletics? By the way again, it's from UNC Chapel Hill and he worked in Athletics at USC and Princeton.

I live in the suburbs of Buffalo and I graduated in 19 hundred and 99. I called you dude. What do you not understand? And after rambling about a degree in athletics and USC and Princeton thanks for making my point. Your idol has done zero for basketball.

Well said , the sugar coating is getting real old . It's insulting to have propaganda shoved down our throats . The team is not even remotely competitive , but yet we have to read how glory days are right around the corner .

You're the one always talking about him and what he'll do for athletics. How about doing anything and everything to not have an 0-7 basketball team? Let's start there.

Okay, we get it. Everyone is disappointed that we’re 0-7. They will get a win but no one expected us to be 3-4 or 4-3. The bulk of our games are to fund NLI. We also got too aggressive of scheduling so many road games in a short period of time. This weekend they played their best game. Rebounding & basketball IQ when it comes to crucial moments in the game. This team continues to make the same mistakes & needs to toughen up when comes to rebounding. There are no quick fixes here. Siena just lost their 4th in a row. Niagara, Iona & Merrimack only have one win. Let’s continue to support the team. We all feel the pain. Go Griffs!
