Subject: Carmen Northwest Wins Again

Just finished watching #5 Carmen Northwest defeat #2 Oostburg 68-63. If I kept track correctly, Javante Edwards led the way with 32 points. Carmen Northwest now moves to the Division 3/Section 3 final on Saturday.

Seems odd to say about a kid who had 32 points in 32 minutes, but it wasn't his best game. I've seen him play better. A little careless with the ball at times, a few defensive lapses, and missed a few shots he usually makes.

BUT... Everything about the kid is quick. Hands on defense, handling the ball, going hard to the basket, etc, His game reminds me a little bit of McMillan's - although McMillan is thicker and stronger. But they both create for themselves and attack the rim in a similar way. Needs to add weight but I'm not really sure how much he can carry. Really explosive and has an edge to him that I believe Griff fans will really enjoy.
