The mare shakes her head in contempt, ears back. She is more than ready to fight for her place. Naranja is growing fast and quite cabable to leave her side now, for a while at least if not forever. She nudges the filly forward.

Filly eyes her mother and emits a shrill whinny, pulling a face at her damm - but the movement is only playful. She steps forward lightly, snorting and squealing at the elder mares.
