Aly smiled at the little girl and walked over to her... glancing at Satrika she awaited permission before sitting in the sand next to Aiko... lifting the young one into her lap, Aly held Aiko at an angle to her...

"Well sweetheart... somethings happened because Asyl wasn't acting, like he was supposed to. You on the other hand did a wonderful job... I believe your the best official crier on all of Pern!"

Aly unconscienciously began to rock the little girl as a small smile appeared on her lips...

"Now... how about a little game I learned when I was your age? It's really fun and it doesn't involve boys!"

A laugh bubbled from Aly's parted lips, for she had heard Aiko's comment as she and Satrika had entered... Rising Aly swung Aiko up with her so she was resting the young one on her hip...

"How's that sweetheart? It will be better than blaming yourself for anything that happened"

As Aly said this her eyes traveled from Aiko to Satrika... their deep blue depths held knowledge and understanding, though they still sheltered the pain that Asyl had caused...
