Aloha

Many of you have heard about the recent events leading up to the Hawaii State Legislature deferring a Bill that would have banned the practice of Shark finning. (Cutting off the Sharks' fin then throwing the rest of the shark away either alive or dead)

Unfortunately this Bill was deffered until next year and the repurcussions of this have been felt in a number of arenas around the world portraying Hawaii in a bad light. People have expressed their dismay that Hawaii is still one of only three Coastal States that still permit this practice and are concerned that Hawaii is not living up to thier claim to be an "Environmentally Sensitive State" .

Although the Legislature doesn't meet again for several months, there is something you can do now to prevent the further slaughter of sharks in and around Hawaii.

For more details......go to

This will be your opportunity to get the word out and make your concerns known.

Mahalo
