Stats: 50+ Albies 10 to twenty pounds one Dorado.Syn:
Lots of fish on a current break just south of the double 220.
Fish should be heading north and on the 10/10 by the weekend.
Since it's a new body of fish, still small, I'd say we are in for a long season.
Story:
Fished the Fourth with Dennis on the Aluminator. The plan was to head south...way south and find some "differn't" tuna. Hopefully YFT or Bluefin.
Hit bad traffic on the way down and was late. Got to the dock sometime around 10 and met the other guys Dennis2 and Al. Dennis2 does the home page for the Marlin club. Great guy with some great Marlin info.
Also ran into SWAG hanging around waiting for some Allcoaster. A nice guy with a really nice Blackman. We are talking sweeeeetttt. I was afraid to touch it...the thing was clean.
Anyway the plan was to run down all night and start on the Double 220 at first light. Good conditions for the run except for some electrical storms inside. We gave them a wide berth.
First light we were 70 mies or so down, sixty five degree water. A steady pick of singles for the first few hours then we found a great current break just loaded with fish. All rods loaded up in a mutiple jig strike. A number of bait fish etc. Dennis knows better but I'd say 10 miles south of the Double 220.
It was so wide open I put my daisy chain in close and tried to get a strike picture. Here's the best I got:

You can see the foreward jigs pulled up and a little of the splash as he hits the last jig in the chain.
After fifty or so fish we got burnt filled the cooler... http://www.momentoffame.com/snapshot.html?id=7564
.... cleaned up...

.... then started back up. You can tell by D2's expression we're still getting bit.
Steady jigstrikes up to the 220 then it shut down. 10/10 was dry for us except for a single blind strike Dorado that hit D2's marlin rig. Beautifull fish: http://www.momentoffame.com/snapshot.html?id=7563
Cold water there (67) a little chilly for Dodo's
Found a few Paddies one which I lost a decent Yellow to and another we practically ran over scaring the locals 1 big Dorado to other locations (other then our deck
)
Ran in just before dark 19+ knots the whole way. Here's a couple shots of the proud owner on the run in.....

Now if I coud just lay off the Dennis's Kessler when we get to his place.... wheeeeeewie we're a talking a major headache on the ride home this morning
Thanks for the trip and the place to stay.... Dennis you've got it down.
