Well bc i was a dj for a time in another life. I produced a series of shows for my college radio station and then at the peak of disco ran a mobile disco with one of my college friends. We then got a show on a local radio station 2BSMGLF. Playing disco of course. However I think our biggest claim to fame was being the first to break Dire Straits Sultans of Swing. Of course the disco was huge and it meant a lot of lugging gear in and out of venues, not to mention actual crates of albums. The speakers were huge Klipsch reverse throwing boxes that each required a reflecting panel behind them made of 1" plywood. The horns were metal and about three feet across. We used to call it the "beast" among other things. The whole thing fit neatly into a VW Combi Van which we drove from gig to gig. At the time there was nothing better than cranking that thing up in a hall and fighting one another song for song to see who could keep the dance floor filled. It got so bad we used to hide our favourite records from one another. It was just a great time and we "WERE' the Sultans of Swing, at least in our imaginatgions BC you should see if you can get some DJ training and get an hour on college or public access radio .You'll have a blast love on ya Stewart
