Speaking as someone who hails from a former superpower (tongue firmly in cheek here) I have to say I agree with Goktimus' point - the US is absolutely not the only superpower in the world, going by the definition of that word in the dictionary (which was, last I heard, the best thing to use for that whole "defining" thing).

Unfortunately - and hard as this may be to believe - while the US is at the top spot in many fields, that does not mean it is absolutely without challenge in many of them. Militarily it may, for the moment, enjoy an advantage not enjoyed by others, but that can change surprisingly quickly. If you don't believe me, pop back to 1850 and check on the size and strength of the British Empire, would you? ;-) (while you're at it you may want to mention the possibility of two worldwide wars in the next 100 years and see how many people laugh in your face at the very idea).

Sorry WarCore, but I just don't agree with your point here. Just because the US comes in first in a lot of fields does not mean there aren't other contenders - and if history tells us anything, it is that circumstances can change in very unexpected ways, and very quickly at that.

One last thing though:

"Dude, you're the ONLY person in the world...."

Whoa! Good research. Gotta admire the scope of that one - you didn't even bother going for "the only person on the board" or even "the only person I know....", you just went straight for the top spot with that one, didn't you? :-) The only person in the world? Nahhhh. There is at least one other that I can think of that supports Goktimus' line of argument.
