Subject: The most ridiculous Oireachtas I’ve ever been too! I’m embarrassed to be associated with this crap. 30 some years I’ve been in Irish Dance.

We all know of the cheating but they make it so obvious. Disgusting behavior by these few schools and their dancers making fun of other dancers. Parents and TCs should hang their heads in shame.

If your child didn’t recall and isn’t even close, you are wasting your time and money for the glory of others. I just don’t understand why parents go year after year when their child isn’t of the ability to recall every year. This comes from a former World Qualifier myself.

Now E&B are rumored to be judging Nationals? I’ve also seen Worlds but it makes it even more obvious why there were so many 1st places from ONE school. All these judges openly getting their favors in while parents fork out thousands a year for unfair and unearned results.

It’s sad because some of the school’s top dancers are truly lovely even if the craven costume signaling is embarrassing. But the school-wide results are statistically beyond credibility, especially when feis performances don’t routinely match majors placements.

Even further down the placements is questionable - e.g. recallers who couldn’t kick above the knee or stay on time time to save their lives. But they had the right identifiers so wink wink nod nod.

At least one dancer on Friday recalled but never has been on a podium and still in PC. Seems highly unlikely when there are so many good dancers in the region but she had “the dress”.

It’s no conspiracy, low class behavior right out in the open at competitions. I’m sure there are classy kids and families at the Academy just like they have some great dancers. But enough rotten apples to ruin it all. And it starts at the top with ample evidence out there that was never publicly denied.

Are you suggesting B&E tell families they never cheated and it’s just conspiracy theories from sore losers?
