Subject: I am all for competition right now. Let the judges sweat every score trying to get it right. Waiting until this blows over with no consequences won't help. Plus kids have been prepping, parents have taken time off work...I think this will be the best Oireachtas in years

I agree - no need to pause competitions. These kids are working very hard! Some are nearing the end of their competitive years. They’ve lost so much already because of the pandemic. This is a chance as parents to talk to our kids about handling adversity and unfair situations. Families have a lot of time, money and emotions invested in dance - there’s no need to take this activity away from those who love it and want to continue. Individuals can choose whether they continue to participate or not.
