Douglas I am aware of people using packages that are older (i.e dreamweaver 3 when 4 is out) the only difference is that dreamweaver 4 is an upgrade (essentially the same as dreamweaver 3 but with a few added extras) whereas vb.net is not VB 7 it is in fact a whole new programming framework. so although as you put it the vb course will give you a background in programming methods, the fact still remains that one completion of this course you will have to also learn the new framework for vb.net.
As for the leaflet i spoke of i will gladly scan it and email it to you.
