Subject: "Where the blazes--?!"

By this point, disorientation should have been a familiar sensation to Lieutenant Gabriel Michaels. But as the bizarre brick turrets and cybernetic primates of Castle BoGoŽ were now replaced with the crumbling bridges and towers of a Cybertronian city, he couldn't help but feel a little nauseous.

"Where now?! The last time I travelled so unconventionally, it at least felt like I went somewhere, passed through a door I couldn't see, as much sense as THAT makes. But this--?

That girl...could she have something to do with this? I was so focused on freeing that trapped Transformer, but she was gesturing or something, that much I caught out of the corner of my eye. Was THIS her way of helping? Damnit, I could have gotten out of the way in time; did she think I would sacrifice myself?

Rugby training hard to break--let's face it. I didn't even KNOW that Transformer, just saw he was in a tight spot and jumped in to help, ignoring the risks. But if she had the power to move me like that, like I'm standing still and the world around me changes fluidly, then why not send me home? Why couldn't my luck change for once in this whole misadventure? Why not Rugby? Why here? Why....

Cybertron?"

Gabe looked around at the spires and bridges, up to the emerald-enshrouded Velocity and the tip of one of Unicron's horns peering over the horizon. Though he'd never been to the homeworld of many of his superiors and subordinates, the Rugby officer had certainly seen plenty of historical holograms in his training. But as much as was recognizable was unrecognizable as large, boxy metal mosquitos soared about, a high-pitched monotone of white noise drowning out the cries of a dying race. He watched in horror as these things punctured buildings, vehicles, structures and robots with long glowing appendages, watched as solid objects shimmered and flowed up these same appendages into the drones, consumed whole.

This was serious business. Gabe wanted to be home more than anything and had for the longest time, though on some level he felt Rugby had abandoned him and had yet to fully understand why, to hear the horrors of the WR@ that inflicted the Starbase while he struggled to survive marooned on Ice Comp. Witnessing the infestation before him however, such a tale certainly would not have the same impact as it had for those who had lived through it. And though Gabe was concerned for Gali, Kopaka, Verge and the other friends made on his strange journey, the same righteous rage filled the Lieutenant as when he faced off against a brain-ape comandeered Death RoBoGoŽ.

"You can bet you and me are gonna have a long talk so to speak, sweetheart, when this is all over. I have to wonder if this was an accident or not, but I think I can do some good here. If I have to make one bug-sicle at a time I will, a one-man extermination service!"

Gabe ran forward as a drone landed and sunk its proboscis into the bridge before it. Darting around, he placed his hands on the creatures side. It lifted its head as the ice spread, and tried to turn to reach the smaller human, its proportions simply not allowing it to reach. Soon it was encased in ice, but Gabe was already realizing not soon enough. At the rate it took him to freeze them, he would never get through them all. Still, he would do his part to help, and continue doing what he had been for months.

Surviving.

"I once was lost.
But now am found.
Was blind, but now I see."
