"Scaleblade's as dangerous as they come, and there have been enough casualties from her prior sojourns to this station. One of her cronies is still on trial for events she participated in, including the abduction and attempted murder of our beloved Warden Alcatraz, and the murder of Ali McCormick's father. Now I have reason ta believe that after all that, the Pred witch actually came back and was skulking around once more. I think she was here, I think she took on her own daughter, and I think she had help bollixing Rugby's portal safeguards. What I need from you is an instant replay."

PHOTRON pondered the Lieutenant's words. He could only be referring to the prisoner that was removed, while PHOTRON was rerouted. For security reasons the cameras had been off, but not prior to the apprehension. PHOTRON easily located the time frame and found security had blocked those records. He told Rotor as much.

"Restricted?! But I'm security! Punch in my override code...I'll explain it to Traz later."

PHOTRON faded as the room went dark. Seconds later, a scene from the recent past replayed around Rampage and Rotor. Fireshard, hiding behind a holographic wall created by PHOTRON. A perfectly ordianry man entering with a mysterious cloaked figure. A figure with a tail. Revelation. Confrontaion. Intervention. In a flash of light, even as the emergency portal redirection system kicked in, bouncing the disguised Scaleblade to the Docking Bay where she fled, Fireshard herself was removed from Rugby altogether. Rotor and Rampage easily connected the unseen dots, realizing now how Fireshard came to be impaled on one of the fragments of the Aegis Shard. Left to perish, it was Rampage's arrival that proved her salvation. Casting aside his Paleguard gauntlet(a weapon later added to the newest Paleguard Cortex), the paternal crab rushed her back to Rugby's medlabs where his truce with Rotor had been forged. PHOTRON remained as the rest of the holographic recreation faded and the lights came back up.

"That was her, right crab? So now we know what happened. Sort of. She tried to port 'shard off-base, and took the brunt of the redirection herself. And the only witness was that human. Maybe he knows something about how she pulled it off. Primus, maybe he helped somehow--he sure didn't have much to say from the security report I read. Looks like our next stop is the brig... Come on!

If PHOTRON paid any heed to Rotor's use of the word 'crab', he gave no indication. he simply hovered as he waited for his visitors to leave...
