Part 3

"Now, where was I? Ah yes! Tin-man, it's time to meet your fate!" sneered the beast, resuming his gruesome task.

A small glint of metal caught the intruder's eye, as Tankup made a mad dash from behind the bar.

Blast!

Ping!

Tankup disappeared around the corner as the shot missed, hitting the wall. Taking off in a run, the monster pursued the kindly barkeep into the Command Center.

"Come now, let's not run around all day!"

Slam!

"Wha--"

To the intruder's surprise, Tankup ran into the vault and slammed it shut behind him! With a resounding click, it locked.

"No!"

The beast beat on the vault door, but soon gave in, turning his back on the vault....

"What's this?"

Off in the corner sat Typhoon, holding on to his knees, shaking. His optics flitted back and forth; fear had taken over the captain.

"You're a dead man Cap!"

***Aftermath***

A ship outside SBR flew on auto pilot. It slowly moved around the quiet station.

"SBR, do I have permission to land?"

*Com static*

"SBR, do I have permission to land?"

*Com static*

"What the slag is going on?! Computer, match the shield frequency of the Docking Bay."

Making a large ark, the ship lined up for a final approach. It entered the Docking Bay, flying low across its metal floor, barely scraping it and sending a shower of sparks flying.

"That looks like blast damage!"

The ship continued moving further into the Docking Bay.

Thud!

A large, limp Transformer body bounced off the front of the ship, rolling up the front view port and over the ship. The pilot took a closer look outside the front window to see a multitude of bodies floating in the quiet hangar. The Docking Bay had every appearance that a war had taken place.

"Computer, connect to the SBR systems, see what happened..."

"Minimal power is left. All systems are shut down except for minimal life support, and a section of the computer database."

"Well, what happened?"

"Starbase Rugby was attacked by an intruder."

"Just one?"

"That is correct. Major system failure prevented any escape. The invader quickly annihilated everyone on the station..."

"Were there any survivors?!?!"

"Searching...." Quiet settled in throughout the ship as the computer conducted its search, "Yes, one in the vault. The barkeep."

The Maximal transformed into his flight mode, and flew out of the ship. Dodging the dead bodies, he made it to the Command Center and proceeded to the vault.

"Hello? Is anyone in there?"

Listening quietly, a faint whimper could be heard within.

"Don't worry, I'm here to help, just open the vault door." With a hiss, the vault door slowly opened, and a robot floated out. "The name's Depth Charge, grab on, I'll get you out of here."

Back at the ship, Tankup told his horrifying story to a grimly attentive Depth Charge...

"Only one TF could have done this damage. X....."
