Author: Star Raider, member of Team Orion
Subject: "WOOOO-HOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

The NOVA*Beacon's tertiary auxilliary docking bay door, located just above its left knee, swung wide as the Autobot returned ahead of his team.

"Yeah!! In your chrome-plated faces guys!! Heh, even the Top Brass was too slow this time! Out shoppin' for school supplies or something, Top Brass? Maybe those fumes were too much for you in alpha-position. Primus KNOWS Orion'd be way faster if I was positioned at Alphaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!"

Star Raider had misjudged. As he soared into the hangar at top speed, the Beacon had reponded by lighting up the tarmac. Motion-activated, the double row of lights flashed to life several feet ahead of him as he streaked in. Too late, he noticed that they ended and a neon "X" was mocking him on the far wall. Star Raider transformed, hoping the sudden shift would be enough to reduce the impact. But there was no way his impatience wasn't going to get him in trouble...again.

As he transformed, he heard a burst fron the floor and only caught a glimpse of the netting that shot straight up, suspended across two high-powered hydraulic posts. The netting still tore, but he barely tapped the far wall and had escaped certain demolishment. He lay tangled in the torn mesh, partially tansformed, and awaited the rest of his team. There would be jokes, but at least he'd be online to be a good sport about it. Besides, he had won the race, so it mattered little if his friends had a laugh at his expense. It didn't even matter that he was the only twit in actuality who was racing; Star Raider was too compulsively competitive to really care...
