Now, on your depiction of the role of
goverment...what can goverment provide when the hearts
of men and woman are but filled with greed?

Stability for the nation... a common set of rules for everyone to follow... laws that aren't as constrictive in some senses... basically a little more freedom for people... and some enforcement of some of the laws locally... by local governments... a lot of laws are passed... but not enforced....

Do you
think Goverment should be the opposite way around, and
sap the rich to redistribute money to the middle class
and poor?

I think that it shouldn't tax everyone as much as it does.. just because someone is rich doesn't mean they shouldn't enjoy it... however, enjoying it at the expense of the poor and middle class isn't right... they should set a flat rate on taxes and charge more to countries that want to export or import goods out of our country.. that might make some money... but some of the taxes that we pay our rediculous...

How could a true democracy work when people
don't have a clue what they are voting on?

Well, basically a better education would be in order... that might solve that problem to begin with... hell, it might solve a lot of problems.. unfortunately, not everyone is given a chance to have a better education, especially when money for education in the counties and states isn't all being used to improve the schools.. or build more schools... plus teachers aren't paid nearly enough money.. they make a fraction of what they truly deserve... I think teachers should be paid fairly descent summs of money.. like in the $60,000 to $75,000 a year range.. for god's sake these people are prepairing the young boys and girls of America for their futures, so that they can become polititians, and Doctors and Lawyers... College proffesors shouldn't be the only ones making the dough.... sorry I spruted off into education there, but that would be the way to give people a better understanding... hold town meetings.. have city meetings and county meetings to explain to the people what is going on... what issues are out there... so they know.. and maybe will be able to vote for something they believe in...

My question
that I asked you was what should the role of Goverment
be, not what is the current role of govrement(the one
you answered with the paragraph)...

The role of the Government should be to protect its people... to look out for us... to provide us a safe place to live and help this country out the best ways possible for the people... not for themselves..... they should take care of the older citizens of this country, and should take care of everyone else... the kids.. the adults... everyone in between.... they should represent us...

PEACE!
