Briar barely noticed the warm feeling against his chest untill the pain dimmed, and after a few seconds his mind put together the realization that Sadie had somehow been the cause. It had perhaps done little to heal the actual wound, but had lifted the haze the agony had used to create a barrier between him and the real world.

The last couple seconds delayedly made it to his brain, and Lily's scream seemed to re-echo in his ears. Lily...? Using his preciously gained (and to be quickly spent) strength, he pushed himself to his knees, with an extensive amount of effort that caused him enough pain even then for him to clench his jaw.

B opened his mouth to speak and it came out as just a heavy breath of hair. Closing his eyes momentarily, focusing all his will on this one thought, he tried again.

"Go to Lily."

Not exactly what he'd meant to say, and probably a bit of a confusing message considering Sadie likely neither knew Lily or realised she was nearby.
