As Oni slept in his tent with his find held tightly in his hands, the nightshift of the Explorer team toiled away at the sand, digging lower and lower towards the base of the structure. The dumped sand piles reaching to the desert night sky from the excavation now decorated the landscape. There was no doubt now that what they were uncovering was an ancient pyramid, like those found on Earth. But why here? It had first seemed like it was mere coincidence that the fairies called this barren desert, 'Aegypt', but now, the similarities were becoming too close for it to be mere coincidence. For a region to have a similar climate, a similar name, and similar ruins is beyond belief. Especially on a different planet....the odds had to be astronomical. After they finally uncovered the base, it would still take many months (if at all) for SBR scientists to figure out the secrets in the gigantic ruin. Sure they could explore it, and find some artifacts (if it hadn't been looted yet), but the real mysteries always involved WHY a thing like this was here, HOW they built it, WHAT was the civilization that built it...these type of questions took much study.

This find was simply beyond imagination, especially for Explorer Team Alpha, who had expected to find nothing by a few "mythical" creatures, and maybe another civilization or two like the Fairy's (in a different form of course). They had already been informed by their human friends that settled the land where the Manarian Farms now resided, that their kind (Humans) were few in number on Manar and that all of them resided in the manarian farm area.

It was long ago, when SBR was first reestablished that they had made an alliance with these small tribes. The planet of Manar had been so much more mysterious in those days, as the only place Rugby could get access to was the small prairie region surrounded by a range of mountains. With all the tech that Rugby had, they STILL couldn't deal with magic. There was just something to be said for those ancient arts. Never the less, they had made possibly the most helpful friendship they could have ever had. These simple farmers helped provide food for the growing spacestation, something came in handy when contact with Cybertron was lost (And with it, any supply ships).

The fact was, these humans simply weren't the type to build large structures, they were simple farmers, who dabbled in magic. And that is despite the fact that they didn't have access to this region anyway...so who built this pyramid? They would just have to wait and find out.

(The days and nights pass....)

Lt. Junior grade James Baker looked through the view finder of the machine, a large contraption that hovered around over the sand, letting you "zoom" through the sand to find objects. Locking on to the base of the pyramid, he read out the readings...

"We-we-we-we're just 10-10-10-10 feet from the base!"

A cheer went about the workers, as they listened to their stuttering co-worker. Baker may not be much of a speaker, but he was a brilliant guy, simply brilliant. The man could learn how to work any type of tech in a matter of moments. He was just one of those people with a gift, who could just instinctively figure out how something could work, and THAT is exactly why he was on this mission.

James pushed his glasses further back on his nose, and looked through the view finder once more...

"Gu-gu-gu-gu---guys! I found the-the-the-the entrance! Over here!"

He waved for more diggers to come to his location. They dug furiously at the sand, and finally, after a few days effort, they were met with the pleasant sound of metal hitting the stone entrance. It was time to wake the rest of the team up.
