Subject: Yoko/Lennon/J-Rock (Rant)*

I was watching a video of a song Yoko Ono featured on with a band called, "Basement Jaxx". I was watching it on youtube and I read a few of the comments and one of the guys on it was referring to John Lennon when he said, "What would John think about this crap?".

This statement was odd to me because I don't think that Yoko Ono takes music very seriously. I believe she was a painter before she met John Lennon and they met at a gallery. I believe she only uses music as a medium of expression because she was married to a musician for so long.
Another reason this comment stuck in my mind was because in my opinion John Lennon was not the greatest solo artist.
I think it's the same thing for each member of the Beatles. They were great in the Beatles but their solo work wasn't all that.
Especially Paul, in the Beatles, Paul is my 2nd favorite behind George Harrison. But Paul McCartney's solo music is trash to me. In the Beatles John Lennon was probably my least favorite musician in the group. The music John Lennon made when he was solo doesn't sound very good and I've tried to get into it but I couldn't.
On the show I was watching it was talking about an album Yoko made with her son and a Japanese band called "Cornelius".
I've been meaning to check out some of Sean Lennon's music on the internet, I don't really care for J-rock. It's great music just not my favorite to listen to.
