Sounds like a fine idea to me too! Lets spare the lowest ranked three *teams* (but not the first three picks as such, as they might have been traded to a high ranked team!).

Personally, I didnt have a problem with the draft. It seems there is a bit of an inflation of talent, how many teams have a 2 or 3 year player as starting qb? Heck, I started a rookie and did great with him. It makes it very hard to trade players, as a 10 year old veteran is hard to justify when you can get a rookie the next draft who is similar in stats... So a round of two of good players and a few sleepers in the other rounds seems ok to me.
