Actually, I wasn't aware that I was helping. :)

Although I will say, Paul, that I think it's better when the protected list is just 3 players, and not all from the same position grouping (QB, RB, WR/TE, DL, OL, LB, DB)

That's pretty much your call. You could say to yourself "I absolutely MUST get a running back in the first round, but I only need one" and put:

Round 1

HB Bill Jones
HB Ken Blake
HB Boomer Anderson

Round 2

LB Smithy James
WR Boris Alexson

...or if you didn't mind potentially ending up with both Jones and Anderson, just send that list without divisions to Paul.

Right. Paul posts lists of who got what players in the draft. You then have X number of days to reply to Paul saying "Okay, sign A, B, and C and D and E. Cut veteran WR K to make room, but put him on my protected list."

>OK again for clarification: Can this happen at the

You cut them BEFORE camp so their skills stay exactly the same, as opposed to players who participate in camp who can have their ratings either raised or lowered depending on how you invest the points.

>OK before moving on to POst Camp, what are the rules

All player groups have a total of 100 points to allocate to the stats.

I believe he'd become a free agent if he wasn't on your squad at the time Week 1 was played. So if you still want the holdout on your team, you have to tell Paul that you want to sign him AFTER camp but BEFORE Week 1, and yes, he would have to fit on the 53-man roster, else he would be a free agent.
