OK I'm trying to be as clear as I can about this as it will dictate what my pre-draft and TRaining Camp strategy will be. And if I wait till just before the Draft I won't have time. I'm sumarissing what I know *or believe( based on Paul's message, conversations with Niki on Sunday Night in the Pub and what is on the website. Please correct for factual inaccuracies so that both Peter and I can prepare for the draft accordingly.

>Sorry things are vague !
Hey this is all voluntary. I'm trying to clear this up so that we can avoid mistakes that influence the upcoming camp/draft.

Currently, the draft class is under preparation by yourself Niki and Jason. I've done this sort of stuff once or twice myself and its a pain in the ass.

> I'll then display this list by the
>weekend and also list the draft order for each round
>for every team.
OK that takes care of the time scale between the draft list publication and draft itself.

>Then about 4 or 5 days later people send me their
>draft lists...
OK to be clear about this. Do we submit a list per round, or else one for the whole draft, or per part of draft, what ever that may be. Niki indicated that the draft was split into 2 parts with separate lists for each?

OK lists can be by name thus:
1. QB Bill. Smith
2. HB Adam Watkins
3. .....
Sufficient picks to be included to cover the eventuality that all your picks are selected as we go.

Later on you can give:
Round 5: Best QB by SP, IN, HA

In this case is this by pure addition of the three skills?

>I will secretly pick some positive sleepers (Players
>whos skills might be 80 80 80 but i up their ratings
>after they are drafted and negative sleepers (players
>who look decent but are worst) and there is one
>holdout in the first round.
OK sleepers I understand, but what is the effect of the holdout? Does he just skip camp or is there a further penalty?

>After the rookies are signed then you can sign them to
>your roster
This means that you do not have to clear space on the current roster to make room for the the players in question until after the draft? And then the players are invited to camp.

>You can 'protect' 5 players from your team. This way
>you could then put some rookies on your team who after
>a training camp they might be good enough to stick on
>your team. On the protected list could be a 12th year
>veteran who wouldnt benefit from another TC
OK again for clarification: Can this happen at the time that the draftees are signed to the roster, so in effect the roster decisions do not have to be made until the end of camp? In general what happens to the players who are put on the protected list for camp? Do their skills get worse or do they simply stay the same? Veterans will know this / rookies don't!!

OK before moving on to POst Camp, what are the rules and restrictions for training camp? Is there a maximum and minimum for camp points invested in each group of players. Assuming that you are using thegenral groupsing for players> QB, RB, Receivers, OL, DL, LB, DB and Kickers?

>Then after training camp you need to tell me which
>players you will keep and which ones you will cut. We
>then have the Week 1 games and then all players are
>FA's who arent on a roster.
So after camp we need to trim the combined Protected List (max 5) and the main roster to a total of 53 players. Must the holdout / if he is still holding out at this time be counted against the main roster?

cheers
Ross
