I have CHad Lewis and Reimersma (quest. w/ shoulder)and neither is making me happy (granted they are only TEs, a very unreliable postion for the most part).
What do you guys think about Mark Campbell in BUF? He catches a lot of balls and Drew historically likes his TEs. No TDs but that comes with volume (which he has).
Any comments?

Watson CIN
Westbrook PHI

- I'm Heading to Fantasy Asylum Full-Time -- David Grey, 07:38:33 05/20/03 Tue (firewall.edm1.com/216.23.9.90)
Hey Guys. Hope all is well. I come as the bearer of bad news (Though I think it is good news). After 3 years of turning down the opportunity to move elsewhere (And the offers have been plentiful), I've decided to close down the shop and move over to Fantasy Asylum full-time. I didn't take the decision lightly, but it will save me some time and I think I will be able to provide more value with more time to research and write instead of updating stuff constantly (Plus spend more time in the forums). I will miss running the site though, but after 8 successful seasons, it was time to move to the next level. I have made a lot of great friendships, but hopefully you guys will check out what the Asylum has to offer (And the very active forums).
Plus I just can't pass up the chance to work with Greg Kellogg, Terry Cannon, Ryan Houston, Kirk and Louie from Dr. Football and all the other guys there (If you haven't been there before or in a while, it is worth the visit). The free content is good and the entire premium package for everything is $14.95, so I think it is a good value (Unlike many of those pay sites out there). Man, after reading that, I sound like a commercial. I think it is definitely a worthwhile site and I expect big things, else I wouldn't have left. This was a very tough decision for me to make, but I believe in the long run it will be a good move for me, and also for any of my faithful visitors and friends that follow.
I plan to leave this forum up so that everyone may continue to use it and I will likely show up still to check in. I thank everyone for allowing me to enjoy the last 8 seasons and the friendships I've made. I wish everyone the best of luck and hopefully will continue to hear from you in the future. Take it easy and best of luck.
Thanks,
Dave

I realize many things may happen between now and the season opener but assuming both seem reasonably healthy fantasy draft time, where do you see these guys falling to with the health issues both had last season and the emergence of Tomlinson, Portis, Williams, etc. as studs? In my rankings I have Williams, Tomlinson, Portis, ahead of Faulk at #4, then McAllister and Holmes at #6. Is this too much of a downgrade? (td/yardage league) Alexander, Henry, Barber and A. Green round out my top 10 rbs. I rate Faulk higher than Holmes because I feel Holmes is the bigger injury risk due to the nature of his injury.

I've got Holmes and Alexander. I can keep 2 more players in my keeper league. Which 2, tho...? Boston, Gonzalez, Pennington, Koren Robinson or William Green?
We play 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 QB, 1K. Scoring is thus - 6pts for any touchdown, 1pt for 10y rushing or receiving, 1pt for 25y passing.

Top Offensive Draft Picks -- scalper, 22:06:00 04/30/03 Wed (NoHost/12.214.241.98)
NOW that the NFL draft is over, Who are the TOP 5 Offensive NFL draft picks that will produce FF points this year, and be worthy of drafting before the 10th round of your FF drafts?
Off the top of my head - In the order of where they were drafted, not necessarily in the order of my opinion of their worth........
1- Charles Rogers - Det - No Brainer here!
2- Bryant Johnson - Ariz - someones gotta be a #1 their and Blake throws the long ball!
3- Taylor Jacobs - Wash., Spurrier's got one shot left at a Fl WR!
4- Kelly Washington - Cincy - Will Cincy come alive this year?
5- Musa Smith - Ravens - Jamal Lewis gets hurt again and Musa Smith becomes a savior for Balt!
Can we start a FF controversey?

I am in an 8 team performance league and am seeking info on trading down in the first rd. (redraft league) As I am in only my second fantasy season (I took second my first year and first this year) I am very out of the loop as far as trading. What is fair value for say a top three pick trading down to lets say five or six? I was hoping to trade down a bit in exchange for switching second rd picks thus giving myself two top ten or twelve picks rather than banking on Holmes hip and Faulks health. Does anyone think this is a feasible option and if so what should I be able to get in return? All opinions and thoughts appreciated.

Use hIm or Lose Him -- Dennis, 09:48:51 01/17/03 Fri (gateway.gscu.org/216.195.199.146)
I'm in the process of shopping Curtis Martin around in a 4 player keeper league. 12 teams.
What I'd like to know is everyone's opinion on his ranking next year. Herm Edwards baby sat the guy this year as far as I'm concerned. Was it because he was hurt? or is this his new role?
Martin is not the type of runningback that is going to be successful running the ball 15/20 times a game. He needs 25/30 carries. Workhorse back. I think it's crazy to pull your best player out of the game when the offense lands in the redzone.
Maybe NY needs to part ways with Martin and go with Jordan? Keeping Martin seems to be a public relationship strategy. Jordan could handle the job full time. Why delay the obvious. Same could be said with SF. At what point is a team wasting young talent by appeasing a popular veteran?
Just some random thoughts.

In my league we play ind. defensive players and they score points for playing on defense...If a defensive player recovers a fumble on special teams should he receive points for this? Fumble recovery is worth 1 point and it matters for the championship. Again we do not give points for returners unless they score and we do not give points to offensive guys that make tackles on a turnovers. Defensive players get points for defense is my ruling.....any help please.....

I casually watched the game off and on today and must confess that I believe Fiedler sucks and Wannstadt's offensive play calling is way too conservative. Throw the damn ball! Is there a worse secondary in the league?
If you own Chris Chambers then I'd be real concerned about his future on this team. Fielder is an average QB on a good day. He will never see his potential as a Dolphin. They just don't throw enough. Plus Fielder is not good enough to stick balls in coverage. Just like you, I read all the hype about how Chambers was going to break out. Give me a break. How could anyone predict Chambers or any other WR to break out and have a great year on this Run three times and play defense team? Maybe if healthy he gives you a 60/1000/8 season. I'd rather have 25 other WRs. Chambers will never be a 2nd WR but instead a 3rd or 4th WR on a fantasy squad (unless of course he gets traded).

Projected starters: Vick, Portis, Alexander, Driver, Johnson, Robinson. 1 qb, 2 rb 3 wr 1k , 1 d/st.
I am in a yardage td league. 1pt 10 yrds rushing or rec. 6pts all tds.
Given that Seattles offense has been waking up and St. Louis def. is sagging a bit...do you guru's think I should start Alexander AND Robinson? They have been playing so well it is difficult to sit either. All opinions or alternative line up advice greatly appreciated>

I need to decide on 2 backs and 2 receivers in a performance league:
Duckett, Dunn vs SEA,Hearst vs GB,Staley vs WASH,Priest @ DEN,Martin @ CHI
Holmes for sure but there is a case for each of the others (bad GB and SEA rushing def, bad weather in CHI, Philly tore apart skins on ground last meeting)
As for receivers:
Coles @ CHI,Keyshawn @ DET,Booker vs NJY,Pathon vs MINN
Gardner @ PHIL
Thinking Coles for sure since Booker may have no one to get him the ball (and weather). Keyshawn against Lions looks good (BUT HE ALWAYS DISAPPOINTS ME WHEN I START HIM!!)

If Martin is the best player on the team then give the freakin ball. If they stop the run then use him as a receiver like other everydown running backs.
Spurrier totally blew it with Stephen Davis. What happened to using #48 in the passing game???? like he did week one??? Granted Davis was not going to get 1,400 yards rushing but I thought they were going to incorporate himin the passing game????!!! Davis has a couple more good years left maybe he'll land on a team that knows how to use a RB.

- $600 Question -- Dolphin Dave, 08:53:52 12/06/02 Fri (dsl1081.erie.net/63.174.18.251)
I've asked this question once already this week, and am still unsure, so I'm asking again for other opinions. Who should I start this week (TD/Yardage league)? Michael Vick AT Tampa Bay or Jay Fiedler vs. the Bears IN MIAMI, ON MONDAY NIGHT. The Bucs defense is staunch and shut Vick down last time they played. On the other hand, Fiedler may be rusty and the Dolphins' may simply run the ball down the throats of the bumbling Bears. (Reading this makes me wish I had a third option, but I don't.) Any input would be appreciated...

- RB help. -- Masdog, 15:04:40 11/27/02 Wed (NoHost/63.137.120.76)
In addition to WR help in my other post, I also could use some insight with my RBs. TD/Perf league. I need to play 3 RBs.
Leaning towards: Dillon vs Bal, Henry vs Mia, CMart @ Oak
Bench: S. Davis @ Dal, F. Taylor vs Pitt, L. Smith @ Cle
Should Davis or any others on bench crack my starting lineup or do you agree with starters listed?
