] Date Posted: 00:16:41 07/30/01 Mon In reply to: Steve Crowell 's message, "Taxi Partitions" on 21:42:18 07/28/01 Sat We don't require them here in British Columbia, and in most Canadian cities, except for MAYBE Toronto and Montreal, they are required. I'm very curious about the feedback on that as well. Check out the Taxi-L murders in the links section, you'll find updated lists. Date Posted: 03:21:31 08/13/01 Mon Taxi-L is a fantasticsite, however the level of tolerance for opinions regarding taxi partition requirement viability is absurdly low. They tossed me off their forum because I maintained the opinion that partitions have a 100% failure rate. I have lots of evidence backing that fact and the NYTLC backs that opinion by saying they have no knowledge of a partition ever thwarting an assault. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 07:36:21 08/13/01 Mon Well, no one, and I mean NO ONE will be kicked off this forum for their expressed views or opinions. With of course the one exception, hate literature. Racism has no place with such a diversified lifestyle, job, whathaveyou, of cabdriving. I agree, Taxi L is an amazing site, except I'm still waiting for a reply from them in linking up to so, I don't think they are as up to date as Hack. I will be posting more of Midnight evidence on the partition issue, and I do hope that their is some debate on the issue. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Statistically, all assualts and murders in NYC dropped something like 83% in the first year!!! Prior to that, drivers were dying at about one a month. Check out taxi-l.org's article called "the effectiveness of taxicab shield 'the baltimore case'. I think your conclusion is rather idiotic based on all the available information out there.
