And Ryan was glad that Lacey was around to encourage his mother - she was more competitive and lively when she was hanging out with Lacey than she ever was with any of her stodgy garden party friends that she'd inherited from her father. She hadn't been unhappy before Lacey, but she was certainly living live vibrantly these days. "Mom was saying he looks great. I'm really proud of you, and so glad you're back on track physically, too." The physical therapy hadn't been easy on her, or him.
