Subject: He was helped into the back of an ambulance, oblivious to anything around him except for the fact that he couldn't breathe and the knowledge that there had been people left in the building that they hadn't been able to get to in time. Laid out on a stretcher, he was soothed by fellow EMTs and hooked up to oxygen - the only plus was that he was free of too many bad external burns....

She demanded before her voice softened, her eyes pleading as she glanced furiously back and forth between Kaleb and the man. "Please." She swallowed, willing to drop down to her knee's and beg if she had too. "Please." She didn't know if Kaleb had ever mentioned her to any of his friends where he worked, if they even knew he was serious about someone now...but anyone could see that this woman was completely devoted to the man laying their on the stretcher.
