• All of the emergency staff were running around in sort of organized panic - desperately trying to sort out the confusion and slow the drama, but it was starting to look like they were fighting a lost cause. If they could only get everyone out of the building, they would be able to pull out and let it burn down - there was no way to stop the destruction now. A police officer who was helping keep order spotted her and stepped over, holding his arms out in a sort of barrier to urge her out of the way and away from the chaos. "Ma'am, please stay back.." • Everything was barricaded off anywhere near the hotel, and he was helping keep the bystanders even farther away from the policeline, so she really wouldn't have been able to see Kaleb even if he had been visible. • He flinched again as another section of the hotel fell in on itself, but just shook his head and remained silent as he lead her beneath the tape and towards an older fireman with a feeling of authority. Making quick introductions, he then left her there to return to his post keeping the bystanders away... The firefighter stood with his hands on his hips, eyes never leaving the blaze as the young policeman introduced the troubled woman - there was nothing more he could do right now and it was the most frustrating thing he had ever experienced. • He was there - amongst the group of previously missing firefighters and two additional ones who had been sent in a last-ditch attempt to track them down - but he wasn't looking so good. A young boy - unconscious but atleast alive - was taken from his arms just before he dropped to his knees, gasping for breath and gagging on the air he did take in, and he wasn't even in the worst shape of the group... She was still clad in just the white tank top and cut offs, though her dark spanish eyes were focused only on him. • The building gave a last sigh before shouts from the firefighters around were heard and she was pushed back quickly - Kaleb and the others helped away just before the hotel finally crumbled. Save for the paramedics taking care of few people who still hadn't been taken to the hospital just yet, everyone else just stood around and watched in defeated silence. She bit her lip, not even paying attention to anything else, nothing - just the man she loved more then her own life being led, stumbling, barely able to support his own weight - away from the building that could have claimed his life. • He was helped into the back of an ambulance, oblivious to anything around him except for the fact that he couldn't breathe and the knowledge that there had been people left in the building that they hadn't been able to get to in time. She demanded before her voice softened, her eyes pleading as she glanced furiously back and forth between Kaleb and the man. "Please." She swallowed, willing to drop down to her knee's and beg if she had too. "Please." She didn't know if Kaleb had ever mentioned her to any of his friends where he worked, if they even knew he was serious about someone now...but anyone could see that this woman was completely devoted to the man laying their on the stretcher. One medic gently pushed her away as he went about his work - trying to get his coworker set to ship off to the hospital - but another, a young woman who knew Kaleb well and had heard him talk about his beloved girlfriend, took notice of Gabby's pleas.
