She pouted a moment and then stuck her tongue out at him. "Making fun of me isn't very nice. Remember I'm your caretaker for the next couple of weeks and I can make your life miserable." She shifted a bit in his lap to show him just what kind of miserable she was talking about, her hands coming to rest on his shoulders easily. He tried to downplay the whole accident, she knew, but the doctors had told her, a few inches to the left or right and he probably would have been a vegetable for the rest of his life, if not dead.
