A few things left impressions on me.


Edward James Olmos is superb as Adama.

Mary McDonnel ain't bad.

A few of the rest of the cast are pretty good.

Most of the writing is pretty bad.

Most of the effects are darned good. I like the asian zoom and shake technique employed here.

There is no real reason that Starbuck is a woman.

Why was a Colonel in a regular 'poker' game with subordinates with which he is nt on excellent terms?

Nice explanation of the backwards feel of the ship.

Baltar is now a complete ninny instead of evil.

Interesting take that #6 seems to be trying to give humans every chance to prove that they are worth NOT wiping out.


I will have to see the rest of the show tonight to complete my opinions.

I was 13 when the original series premiered. I loved it while at the same time recognizing that it was dumbed down for a general audience. It has not aged well, though I still like it. Galactica 1980 was...not good.
