I heard Valvoline High Mileage Engine Oil was pretty good. I found the engine oil was a little lower using Valvoline. But the problem is the oil burnt out too quickly.

I checked oil level exactly as you suggested. My home parking lot is on a slope, but my office parking lot is level. So I usually check it before I go back home.
