This Week’s Memory Verse—John 10:10 Access Database—Ephesians 1:3–14 Six Great "Zoe-isms" by Aaron Maners It would take a lifetime to count all the blessings of God that are available as we live the zoe kind of life. But here are a few for you to study, think about, and meditate on. Spiritual Growth: God wants us to grow spiritually in Him, and He’ll use great men like the apostle Paul to help us. Paul knew that his ministry was to teach, train and help others grow in Christ. (See Acts 18:23; Rom. 1:11; 1 Cor. 3:6–7.) You may feel as if Paul’s level of spirituality is about as far out of your reach as Mark Maguire’s home-run ability. Maybe so. But, it will never happen without a lifetime of practice and commitment. Peace: Our God is the God who gives us "peace that passes all understanding" (Phil. 4:7). We can live our lives being anxious about nothing, worrying about zilch. We can learn to think clearly even in the fiercest of storms. Future and Destiny: Want to know the fate of the wicked? Read Proverbs. It doesn’t look good at all. But Jeremiah 29:11 says that the future and destiny of God’s children is looking real good! Heritage: If you don’t have a godly heritage…start one. Every person you build into the kingdom of God creates a legacy of righteousness! Be part of a new generation of "cycle-breakers" who are saying to the Lord, "…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!" Financial Blessing: Of course, God wants to bless your money matters. (And we all know, our money does matter.) Our obedience in tithes and offerings releases the bank accounts of heaven into our lives. (See Mal. 3:10–12; 2 Cor. 9:6–12.) Make up your mind right now to be one of those people whom God can trust with financial blessings throughout your lifetime. Physical Healing: Ain’t nothin’ worse than being sick or hurt. Be sure to know that it’s not God’s plan for us to be in pain. (See 3 John 2.) God is saying, "I’m all about your spiritual healing, but I made provision for your physical healing, also." (See Isa. 53:4–5; 1 Pet. 2:24; Mark 5:21–42.) Now, go back and read Ephesians 1:3–14 one more time. Identity Matrix—Disciples of Christ... Know God—In what way did God reveal Himself to you as you read His Word? Live for God—What one lifestyle change is God calling you to make? Love Others—In what way is God calling you to minister to someone in need? Bear Fruit—In what ways will you set the example and the standard for others to follow?
