Thura's eyes widened as she recognized the girl in front of her. She looked much older, but we probably all do now, she thought. Another rare smile lit her face as she let go of Marthur's hand to return the hug. "Arwen, I am so glad to see you again!! I have missed you very much!" She turned her eyes on the gold kilven. "And...I think your name is Jahae now? I thought I heard something about the female names being changed like that...before we left the rest... You look beautiful, Jahae!" Her pain was forgotten for the moment in the excitement.

Marthur smiled shyly, blushing as Arwen hugged him. "Hello, Arwen. It is good to see you." He remembered the kindness she had shown him when he had first arrived at the Weyr, when Sl'th had almost half-killed him.

Meanwhile, Sarinor was equally glad to see Jahae. Greetings, dear friend. Your company has been dearly missed. Your beauty still outshines the sun...the change becomes you. It is good that you are here. Through you, our line will continue...in the children you shall bear.

Thura watched as Hollis came up and greeted Arwen. Hollis had not been verbal with her yet, but she spoke to her anyway in surprise. "You know Arwen? Where were you from?" The pain she had forgotten chose that moment to remind her, with another strong contraction. Grabbing for her brother's hand again, she squeezed hard as the pain grew into a tidal wave, washing over her. She gritted her teeth, holding out until it finally subsided.

Marthur was gritting his own teeth. He had not realized how strong his sister's hands were. His fingers felt as though they were being crushed. He concentrated instead on trying to determine how far apart her contractions were.

Sarinor continued again, after 'listening' to the conversation around him. Yours is doing a better job of appearing normal than Mine. Sl'th and Tillath were lost. That is why we have been -away.- Marithura wanted to be -alone.- Her clutchmate refused to stay...he wanted to care for her. It is only the impending birth that brings her out again now, but it is too soon. His mindvoice was filled with deep sadness, and deeper worry for his rider.
