• OOC: And boy do I feel dumb...all well. Moving on. BIC: Victim smiles at Dar, and he looks tired when he does so, "Where do you think? Where did you get yours?" He then turns away and heads inside, clearly not wanting to be followed. A few moments later he reappears climbing the mast, with something strapped to his back. Settling on the cross-beam, he slides the large object off of his back and into his lap. It's hard to see from a distance, but it appears to be a black box with some light source inside. Victim open and closes the box, causing a bright light flash each time. He appears to be doing this out of sheer boredom, and after a few minutes he stops and heads back down. He returns to the table and clears the food, then sits down on top of the table. "Right," he interrupts the other conversations, "Who wants to play a fishing game?" • OOC: No worries. I've had my own problems trying to find what messages I was posting on. There was even one time when either voy or my comp. was having a problem and none of the messages showed up. This fishing game was fun, but it occured to me that if I wanted the event, I shouldn't have assigned lures, I should've just had the event. • While the others selected lures and started fishing, Victim stood apart, distantly watching the sea. After a while he blinked and stopped gazing suddenly. His mouth twitching slightly, he starts to back towards the inner ship. Dar, who had been on the sea the longest, would probably spot what he was looking at, at first. The other passengers would notice shortly after. A ship, large in truth but small on the horizon, was flashing a light on the starboard side. Any glance to where Victim had been would tell everyone that he was not there anymore. He sat upon the mast once more, using his personal lamp to return light signals. The two ships were clearly communicating in a form code, although no one else could identify it at first. Victim stayed silent all the while, ignoring those around him. • Aena jusrked as a slash of water hit her face. She had fallen asleep and, lucky for her, had tumbled on to the deck instead of into the water. She yawned and streached and looked around. A light blinked from the ship. She looked around for Victim and found him up on the mast. *I wonder how he got up there.* Feeling slightly silly for falling asleep, she made her way across the deck and back to where the others where.   • Dar climber up the mast and took a seat next to Victim. He didn't remained quite so as to allow Victim to concentrate on the message. He had seen the message but had missed the beginning and was somewhat confused. (NT) -- Dar, 08:22:57 04/28/05 Thu
• OOC: What the devil does SI stand for, Flame? BIC: Victim barely even acknowledges Dar's arrival. He seems serene, watching the message and then replying, then waiting again. Up on the mast the wind is stronger, and it is fairly cold. Down below on deck, the ship simply appears to be coming closer, and it looks like they've put up more sails to move faster. After a short while Victim closes his lamp and climbs down without a word. Stepping on to the deck, he calls out, "My friends are coming! Let's play the fishing game later, okay? I was hpoing I could introduce you to a friend of mine, but his lure never got cast...all well, that's my fault for not sayin' anything, I guess." Victim gathers the tackle box, lures, and rods from everyone and stashes them inside. He then stands on the deck and waves, although it is now so dark that the other ship couldn't possibly see him. • Haaden splashed into the pool and, upon surfacing, spotting Halden's body swam down towards it. When she had reached him she grabbed hold and hoped desperately that this 'way' led somewhere. • Unbeknownst to the four at the dock, there was yet a fifth person in view. A young, pale-skinned girl was standing at the edge of the dock. Her raven's black hair swirled around her, tossed in the breeze. She seemed to blend in to her surroundings to perfection. Her eyes flicked from face to face--there were three people clustered around a beautiful boat, which she looked at enviously. Her eyes flicked to a newcomer, a young woman with flaming red hair.   • Flame approached the threesome but stopped when she felt eyes on the back of her neck she turned and saw a girl watching her carefully, just as she had been watching the others. She stood frozen, not sure now what to do. She glanced over to the group clustered around the boat and saw that they had not noticed her, so instead, she walked over to the girl. • Aena rubbed the well polished side of the boat. "You did a good job, Victim." She wished she could get into the boat and go on a sailing trip. She looked out on the water and sighed. She looked back to the beach and saw Lark. She frowned. She hadn't seen her when they came onto the dock, so she must have sneaked up on them.   • As soon as Victim brought up the tray Dar could feel his mouth salivating. It was all he could do to restrain himself from attacking the tray of food. As it was he took an orange and quickly began peeling it. It had been so long since he'd had any /fresh/ fruit. He threw the peel overboard, ate the orange and then took an apple. • Victim was also a bit put off. He was just trying to be friendly... he gives a huge smile to Aena, "I don't know yet. Hey! We could make this a two-day voyage, if y'like.   • Since the unofficial crew seemed to be in agreement for the longer voyage, Victim quietly excused himself to prepare the guest rooms. After a few minutes he returns, and after making sure that most people were comfortable he sidles over to Dar, joining him at the rail. He had changed his shirt while inside, now wearing the sleevless red vest alone. It's now clear that Victim has something similar to Dar on his left bicep. A black tattoo portrays a full moon hidden behind two clouds. Victim watches the sea for a moment, occasionally glancing over to Dar, "You're lucky." he smiles weakly at last, "you got a cool lookin' lighting bolt. All I got were some flimsy clouds."
