Subject: {I'm here, I'm here!!!!}

Aranye looks first around the room, seeing only two apprentices that she didn't know. Three, then, that didn't know suits. "The first lesson will be on wet suits, flippers, masks, aqua-lungs, and dive knifes." Raising a hand to forstall any comments, she continues, "For those of you who already know how to use the gear," her blue-black eyes sweep over the apprentices, stopping on Delfina, Allin, and Tara Lynn. "Aera will be teaching another class, likely to be on safety. Make sure your suits are labled," she adds to those who already have them, tossing a pen to Delfina.
"The rest of you-" Aranye grabs her wet-suit, which had been laying across one of the low-lying tables nearby. "This is a wet-suit. It keeps you dry and warm when swimming. You wear it over your clothes, though not your shoes." Putting the smooth covering back down, she picks up a pair of flippers and the mask. "A mask. I hope you can tell which one it is," she adds, with a twinkle in her eye, inviting the apprentices to share her lame joke. "And what it's for. The flippers help you move through the water- they shove more water out of the way then your feet would do on their own, and therefor allows you to move faster." Dropping them atop her suit, Aranye hefts the heavy aqua-lung. "These are air tanks, and by far the most helpful invention of the smiths. To us, at least. About two candle marks worth of air is condensed in one of these. Through this tube," she lifts the plastic tube that dangles from the aqua-lung, "We can breath under water." She stops, looking each apprentice in the air. "Have you got all that?"
