Subject: Lian re-entered, this time with a companion. . .

Lian cast a sad glance about the deserted hall, sighing deeply. "Empty," she commented to Jyssa, noting the room's excellent acoustics. "I bet Harpers would love this room," she added. "Just listen to it." After only a few moments, the silence started to weigh uncharacteristically on Lian's spirits, so she sprang to the center of the room, pulling Jyssa with her. "Step lightly now!" she called into the vacant emptiness, starting to dance to some unheard tune. Lian began humming, encouraging her friend with little squeezes on her hands to join in. She whirled about in time to her own rhythm, sandaled feet pattering against the hard, stone floor of the hall. She sped up gradually, ending the tune in a euphoric tangle of tones, melding perfectly with whatever Jyssa was supplying. As the last note faded off into the shadows, Lian stopped swirling and just stood there, one hand still clasping Jyssa's. After a moment or two of still silence, she finally broke the trance. "Well! That was certainly interesting," and she managed to keep her laughing fit under control. . . barely.
