You are very good at defending the village no matter what the subject is. I'll bet you get some special perks from them.

Let's set the record straight, shall we. Depending on who you get your story from, the Colwell's did what they were supposed to do and the village did not do their part. The Colwell's submitted the paperwork for the demolition and they did wait 48 hours for the work to begin. This was not an act of vandalism as it was to their own property and they are not submitting claims to be reimbursed for it's destruction.

Since you seem to "know it all" here's a fact about the little league park. It is NOT land under the control of the Town of Hempstead. There has been correspondence with the town supervisor and with Councilman Santino that will verify that the park is under the complete control of the village. That is why the village does not have to follow the same rules and regulations as the other little league parks. It is on village property. It is run by the East Rockaway Recreation Department and the village. So, if I were "hot to trot" about the Town of Hempstead and they owned the land, I would make sure my friend was in touch with them.

My reason for diverting attention from the EPI issue was to point out the fact that the village follows and quotes code when it affects them and is to their benefit, not when it affects it's residents. So, before you try to give a history lesson and legal dissertation to the posters on this forum, maybe you should do your homework. You obviously are not talking to the entire population of East Rockaway.

To those of you who spread nasty rumors and hurtful remarks, I feel that you hide behind your anonymity on this web site by not identifing yourselves. If you truthfully feel the way you do about my family's actions, I challange you to tell all of these readers who you are. What are you afraid of, not having enough backbone to stand on? Jacquelyn I admire you. There is one person who writes on here and that person is what you say. The poor soul is not very creative and is dependent on quoting and being nasty. Poor thing is nasty and speads rumors because the poor soul is an abuser. I allow the poor soul to write here so people can see what a fool that poor person is.
Your family made this area worth while. I miss your family and I know that where ever you have gone you will do well. I wish all of you great happiness.

There is grant money for the local businesses on the waterfront from the state. The village has not let people who can get them know about them.
The hot dog stand and bait store got grant money and they are going to redo and put in more stores.
Those who were not told of the grant money they could get can now sue the village for withholding the fact.
