(*) As the moved through clearing and brush, Kosses picked her steps carefully. The pads of thier feet cushioned each step and silenced their movement forward. She moved forward with the stealth she’d learned from years of traveling. Ears laid back, not in threat, but in a streamlined effect. Kosses was starving and would glad for assistance taking down a large animal if Ice would contend.

Kosses paused in her steps for a brief moment before speaking, eyeing the terrain for any hiding deer or rabbits. With nothing seen, she spoke softly in hushed tones. “I have seen no animal larger than a rabbit in the past two weeks.” This, in part, was directly linked to her growing hunger. It was wrinkling the edges of her stomach and could be felt in her throat. “No, no one has returned to my lands yet. But I shall wait. They shall come. The West Wing will be home to some again.” As the words faded off, Kosses’ belly met with the ground as rustling was heard 20 feet from where they stood. The tall grass cloaked her form well and her ears swiveled forward in anticipation. Dinner, maybe? Or…another wolf? (*)
