He stops as she blocked his exit with her slight bulk. He could move her if he wanted to, she wasn't very heavy even carrying twins at almost full term. But something in her face, and the fact that he realy didn't want to leave kept him from doing it. His blue eyes shifted over her face as she spoke his name. He almost took in a sharp breath as she leaned towards him, but he forced himself to contenue breathing. He wasn't at all suprised by her question, knowing just how bad he could smell. "A lot..." He wasn't realy ashamed by it, but his voice was soft, as if he was a child being asked how many cookies he'd eaten.
As her soft hand settled on the bare flesh of his arm, the muscles rippled. How long had it been since someone had touched him with such caring? He couldn't hounestly remember. He remembered Kathrien's touch, but this was diffrent even from that. His eyes droped to her hand, feeling his skin warm around the petit flesh. He looked up at her then, when she questioned him again. She didn't think he was a perv?! But, how.... shit, this wasn't going the way he'd thought it would.
He look a moment to find the words while his eyes searched hers, finding the shadows within them. They almost matched his, but much, much paler. "I'v made some bad choices in my life. They'v taken away everything I ever cared for... After my wife was killed.. I put up a wall" He averted his gaze, knowing the pain and confusion was clearly visable in his eyes "She was four months pregnent when she was murdered.... We'd only just found out..." He sighed, stuffing the pain deep down and beat it senceless before throwing it back in its cage. "It was my fault... I should have left Keeneye, I shouldn't have left her alone..." He looks up at her, his eyes shining with the knowlage that it was he fault. Though oddly, they were not wet. He had no idea why he was telling her, his army buddies only knew the details because it had been public knowlage, headline stuff. He'd hunted down every last bastard who'd had a hand in it, the body count had been massive.
