Why don't they just let the sporting goods stores downtown sell the merchandise? It works in Ann Arbor. Michigan has the best selection of licensed merchandise that I've seen. And more than one store is selling it. The designs are unique, which is more than I can say for the generic CPSU.

If the official name is "California Polytechnic" why isn't that design on T-shirts and sweatshirts? Hey Tommy, maybe they'll let you sell that!

About that "exclusivity" -- don't you think it has something to do with where this State Unversity campus is located? If you check, you'll find that enrollment soared in the late sixties when Cal alums didn't want to send their daughters to that dirty Telegraph Avenue town then referred to as "Berserkely", and Cal Poly had just opened up the campus to coeds in the late 1950s.
