First, I'm the dad, the player is #5 son. Is he legit? Probably, he's ranked in the top 5 in WA for 2005 Post players. I was a 6'5" 275# shot putter in college and my boy's uncle [6'7" 200#) played Bball professionally in Europe and Brazil. The Uncle's over 40 team just won its 4th national Bball championship with Uncle Randy dropping in around 40 points. The Boy has good genes.

Son is interested in computer science, politial science and law. My only concern about UCSB is that it has been described as a "party school" in some circles. I'm not sure this is what we are looking for. Bryan Whitehead is from the area, so UCSB is not out of the picture.

First choice, good style fit: Stanford. For Monty to be interested, I thing my boy will have to hit 6'9"-6'10". This is what it would take to get him into the top 100. At 6'8" and 250#, I think top 300 is more likely...good mid major candidate.
