Didn't hear the game. Did Bromley leave Shilling in after the first the first ten minutes? Sometimes it takes a player of while to really get hota few minutes to really get in the groove. Shane's outburst should take some pressure off Varney if Idaho heard the swishing from Fullerton. Here's the story from the Orange Country Register.

Titans again make overtime prime time
They beat Cal Poly SLO, 88-85, to take some momentum with them into the conference tournament.

FULLERTON – Note to Utah State about this week's Big West Tournament: Do not let Cal State Fullerton take you to overtime.

The Titans ended the regular season by doing what they did best in conference play, gutting out overtime to beat Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 88-85, on Saturday night at Titan Gym.

Fullerton went 5-0 in overtime conference games this season. The Titans (10-18, 8-10 Big West) broke a two-game losing streak and head into the Big West Tournament with momentum and the sixth seed.

CSF will play third-seeded Utah State on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at Anaheim Convention Center.

The Mustangs (14-13, 10-8) go to the tournament as the fourth seed.

"We're a grinding team," Fullerton guard Ralphy Holmes said. "And we have momentum now. Nobody wants to face us in the first round."

Or in a close game. It was Holmes who had three buzzer-beaters in conference play, but Anthony Bolton provided the heroics Saturday.

Bolton sank a leaning three-pointer with three-tenths of a second left in regulation to force overtime.

"I missed a chance to win a game at Pacific with a shot," said Bolton, who finished with a season-high 24 points. "This was the good one."

He followed it up with 6-for-6 free-throw shooting in the extra period, hitting four in the final 11 seconds.

Fullerton, the worst free-throw shooting team in the conference entering the game at 63 percent, sank 13 of 14 in overtime.

"The foul shots were the big thing," Fullerton coach Donny Daniels said. "And this time, we made sure the right guys were on the line."

Bolton had plenty of help as Pape Sow scored 16 points and collected a career-high 17 rebounds. Sow also made 5 of 6 free throws in overtime before fouling out.

Guard Fedi Holm-Hadulla added 17 points and sank 5 of 8 three-point shots.

Bolton's season-high output and the team's free throw improvement mirrored a season of progress for the Titans.

Fullerton, which missed the Big West Tournament last year, equaled the amount of victories in the past two seasons combined with 10.

It also gave Fullerton eight conference victories for the first time since 1992-93, and the Titans will avoid their third consecutive 20-loss season.

"We're excited," Bolton said. "The spirits are up right now."

Fullerton built a 14-point halftime lead, but Shane Schilling (career-high 32 points) helped make the advantage disappear.
