Subject: 20th Century Art

I really think that when you look at some of the art produced during the 20th century, you have to be very picky when trying to decide on what you think is really art. When I look at art done by Picasso I can really see talent, and although his style is not conventional I deeply respect it because it is his own and he had the intelligence to invent it. Then there are pieces like "Homage to the Square" by Josef Albers. This is nothing but a bunch of colored squares and they are of no artistic importance. I think that people must look really closely at art produced in the 20th century and if you can find a deeper meaning or some sense of art then you can be able to appreciate it.
