Subject: 20th Century Art

Personally, I am very intrigued by 20th century art. True, there are pieces that even I don't consider "art" (such as the dozen or so single color "paintings" I saw in the Met). However, I think many people automatically think of abstract art and today's, err.."performance" pieces, when they think of 20th century art. My favorite type of art, Surrealism, while not normal, does take talent to be able to achieve well. (That and a very warped mind). While I do think that many pieces of abstract art are ridiculous, I believe some can make you think if you sit and stare at them long enough.
